Each customer is taken out on a short test run in order to get fully used to driving the car. And hirers are shown how to operate hoods, locks etc.

Documentation
When you collect the car, you will need to complete and sign our standard Rental Agreement and Insurance Form. All drivers need to bring their driving licences (both the photo ID card and paper document in the case of two part licences) and a secondary proof of address such as a bank statement or utility bill. Finally, someone in the party must bring a credit card on which to secure the security deposit pre-authorisation. Please see FAQ and Terms & Conditions for more information.

Reliability
Summer Wine Classics' cars are in excellent condition and are meticulously maintained by IK Classics and Racing Services. We do everything we can to ensure complete reliability but with classic vehicles there is always a possibility of unexpected problems.

In the unlikely event of a breakdown, every effort will be made to minimise the effect on your day. We are always contactable and full RAC roadside assistance and breakdown cover is included in our prices. Additionally, IK Classics can also provide roadside assistance. If the car cannot be repaired, a suitable alternative will be offered.

IK Classics
Summer Wine Classics' cars are stored at IK Classics and Racing Services in historic and atmospheric mill premises in the village of Jackson Bridge near Holmfirth. Owner Ian Kellett has been in the motor trade for 34 years and his technicians are also hugely experienced. IK Classics is a small and flexible business, able to do urgent work to meet Summer Wine Classics' needs at all times. If requested, clients' cars can be kept in IK Classics' secure storage area during hire periods and they can be valeted or worked on while they are there if required.
