The Triumph Stag, which was manufactured from 1970 to 1977, is a fantastic
classic car offering practicality, individuality and style. It has a Italian
looks, a gorgeous sounding V8 engine and it is a true four seater. Stags had a
poor reputation for reliability when they were new because of design faults in
the engine cooling system but surviving cars, including Summer Wine Classics'
Pimento red example, have had subtle modifications to eradicate the problem.
This 1977 car was purchased from long established Triumph Stag specialist Tony
Scott in Leicestershire who trades as Spring Grange Classics. Tony reckons its
one of the most original Stags he's ever sold and probably the best he's ever
driven.
