What to see, what to do, where to eat
Holmfirth
Made famous by the television comedy series Last Of The Summer Wine, which
was first shown in 1973, Holmfirth is a small Yorkshire pennine town
characterised by stone weavers' cottages and cobbled steets. Despite its charm
and the tourists the TV show attracts, Holmfirth remains an honest working town
with a real sense of community. If you are staying with us or starting or ending
your break here, we are sure you will enjoy exploring the town and the
surrounding countryside.
Holmfirth has a number of excellent cafes and restaurants and a vibrant
theatre with its own professional repertory company is situated in a converted
mill building near Ash House. We are happy to make advanced reservations for
you.
