The Jaguar 240 was in production from 1967 to 1969 an is a mildly modified version of the Jaguar Mk II, one of the most beautiful saloon cars ever made. Our creamy white Jaguar 240 saloon has been comprehensively restored and refurbished by expert craftsmen local to us here in Holmfirth and has proved a popular addition to our wedding fleet since completion of the work in Spring 2007.
First registered in April 1969, this car is the 300th from last Jaguar Mk II type saloon ever made. After repairs to its bodywork, the car has been completely repainted in its original factory colour, Old English white. Inside, the red leather upholstery has been renewed and the walnut fascia has been restored to its former glory. The expensive and extensive restoration was carried out to the highest standards, yet this hard-working 1960s Jaguar retains all its authenticity and character.
This is a fabulously photogenic classic motor car that looks splendid dressed in white or coloured ribbons (gold is especially glorious!). Ultra smart and traditional yet stylishly different at the same time, this car is a discerning choice for wedding day transport.
