A Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is an iconic 1970s status symbol and a stylish retro choice for chauffeured wedding hire.
This splendid low mileage motor car was originally owned by Sir Norman Hartnell, official dressmaker to the Queen and master of the Royal wardrobe. Sir Norman designed clothes for the Queen, the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret for more than 40 years and, from his couture house in Mayfair, he carried out a great number of important Royal commissions, including creating truly magnificent gowns for the Queen's wedding and Coronation.
The car's beautiful chestnut metallic paintwork changes hue in different light conditions, varying from rich brown to a deep burgundy in bright sunshine. And it becomes dark bitter brown at dusk. The colour scheme was particularly specified by Sir Norman, as were a number of non-standard features inside the car including picnic tables, a unique cubby box in the rear armrest and a special light walnut fascia.
A Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is a large and impressive motor car with great presence and the sumptuous tan leather upholstery, delightful figured walnut dashboard, deep pile carpets and thick lambswool rugs make the interior of this immaculate example a very special and luxurious place indeed.
As well as being strikingly handsome, a Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is also a highly sophisticated vehicle. Stately and imposing, they are silky smooth, supremely comfortable and hugely spacious. This superlative motor car embodies all the qualities and refinements that have made the Rolls-Royce marque world famous for more than a century.
What better way to travel to a wedding ceremony and on to the reception than to be wafted there gracefully and effortlessly by a thoughtful and considerate driver in a very special motor car? It is what a Rolls-Royce does best.
