HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?
Our benchmark price for supplying our 1964 Jaguar saloon for weddings in the Holmfirth and Huddersfield area is £295 and the Rolls Royce and Bentley are both £325. Although every wedding is different, we offer a large degree of flexibility and most local bookings can be accommodated for this amount. Let us know your requirements and we can confirm the price for you.

HOW LONG IS THE HIRE FOR? There is no time limit, but we find most hires in our home region are for between three and four hours.

HOW FAR DO YOU TRAVEL? We are happy to quote for weddings in surrounding areas but the further we have to travel the less competitive we tend to be compared with local operators because we have to allow for travelling time and fuel and consider the wear and tear on the vehicle. Nonetheless, we have supplied our chauffeured classic cars for weddings all over North, South, West and East Yorkshire and in various parts of Derbyshire, Cheshire, Lancashire and Greater Manchester, all at very reasonable rates.

ARE THERE ANY EXTRA COSTS? No. Once we have agreed a quote we do not make additional charges.

HOW DO I MAKE A BOOKING? Call us on 01484 688244 or 07974 410568 to check availability and discuss your requirements or send an e-mail or completed on-line enquiry form and we will contact you as soon as possible.

HOW MUCH DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED WHEN BOOKING A CAR? A 25% deposit is required to secure the booking. Payment can be made by cash or cheque. Full payment must be received at least a fortnight before the hire date.

CAN I MAKE A PROVISIONAL BOOKING? We will hold a car to allow you to make arrangements to view or to discuss things (we will contact you during this period should anyone else express an interest in the car) and we will allow time for a deposit cheque to arrive and clear.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE HAVE TO CANCEL? Strictly speaking, deposits are not refundable but in the event of a cancellation made up to a fortnight before the wedding date, we will, at our discretion, offer a full refund minus a £25 cancellation fee.

DO YOU PROVIDE CARS FOR CIVIL PARTNERSHIPS? Yes, absolutely. We treat all couples with the same care and professionalism and we are a gay and lesbian friendly company.

CAN WE VIEW THE CARS? Certainly. Just call a day or so beforehand to make an arrangement.

DO YOU OWN THE CARS? Yes, we have always owned all our cars and do not operate as an agency.

ARE THE CARS THE ACTUAL ONES ON YOUR WEBSITE? Yes. The cars pictured on this website are the same ones we are offering for hire.

HOW DO YOU WORK OUT THE ROUTE AND SCHEDULE THE JOURNEYS? We drive the route beforehand to anticipate any problems and work out the timings. Then we liaise with the customer to set pick up times.

WHAT TIME WILL YOU ARRIVE? Early! We will always arrive in plenty of time so the bridal party can relax knowing we are ready for them. This also allows plenty of time for photographers to capture the moment as the bride leaves with her escort.

CAN WE TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS AT ANY TIME DURING THE HIRE? We will build in time to accommodate photography at all venues according to your requirements and we are also happy to stop off on the way to the reception.

DO THE CARS DO MORE THAN ONE WEDDING A DAY? No. They are cleaned and prepared for just one wedding in a day and there is never any time pressure at the beginning or end of a hire because of another commitment.

ARE THEY IN AS GOOD A CONDITION AS THEY APPEAR ON THE WEBSITE? If anything, they will be better. It is our policy to improve the cars whenever we can and this is an ongoing process.

WHAT IS A CLASSIC CAR? Please see the Why choose a classic car? page on the site for a definition of classic and other types of historic vehicle.

HOW ARE THE CARS DECORATED? The cars are decorated with ribbons and bows in cream or white or in an alternative colour of your choice and with silk flowers chosen to tone in with the colour scheme of the wedding.

WHAT DO THE DRIVERS WEAR? Smart suits and ties.

WILL MY DRESS FIT IN THE CAR? Yes. There may not be quite as much room in our 1960s Jaguar as our huge 1957 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud but we have accommodated gowns of all shapes and sizes in all our cars without any serious problems. There is a simple technique for getting in and out easily wearing a big dress and our driver will be on hand to help.

DO I NEED TWO CARS? Probably not, but read on! We are usually happy to make more than one trip in order to take bridesmaids and other members of the bridal party to the ceremony as well as the bride and her escort, but a pair of cars can be more practical over larger distances and will certainly create an impression! A pair of cars can look fantastic together in almost any combination and, to make it a tempting proposition, a good discount is offered if you hire more than one vehicle.

DO YOU SUPPLY CHAMPAGNE? A half bottle of Moet & Chandon champagne can be supplied for £20 if you want to share an intimate drink together on the way to the reception, or for a toast if you choose to stop off for photographs after the ceremony.

DO YOU CARRY UMBRELLAS IN CASE IT RAINS ON OUR BIG DAY? Yes. And they are often essential equipment!

HOW DO YOU ENSURE THE CARS ARE RELIABLE? The worst thing for the reliability of any car is for it to stand idle for any length of time or to just potter about making short journeys. Most classic cars travel less than 500 miles a year whereas our cars get plenty of exercise on all kinds of roads from byways to motorways. This helps keep them in fine fettle and we spend thousands of pounds every year in specialist workshops keeping them in tip top mechanical order.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU BREAK DOWN? This is a painful question all wedding car suppliers should face openly and honestly. Even modern vehicles can break down or suffer a puncture at the most inopportune moments and sudden and severe traffic congestion, perhaps caused by a serious accident, can affect arrival times no matter how much leeway has been allowed.

We always have a suitable spare vehicle standing by on wedding days but this may be some distance from where the breakdown occurs or the pick up address. So despite the extreme unlikelihood of such an emergency occurring on your big day, it would be a sensible precaution to nominate a friend or guest at the wedding to be on standby with their car, ready to step in until the relief car can get to you.

WHAT INSURANCE COVER DO YOU HAVE? Another vitally important question. We have a specialist professional motor insurance policy from classic and performance car specialists Mayfair Insurance Consultants Ltd (link to Mayfair website) which gives us fully comprehensive cover for all our vehicles and includes personal injury cover for all occupants.
